Will It Ever Be Spring?

Just when I was thinking I could pack these up...

...the weather had to turn all cold and nasty again.
Seriously, I saw snowflakes falling out of the sky today - IN APRIL!

On the plus side, at least it gave me the chance to wear this great new scarf I just finished knitting.
Check out the sweet pocket!

Fingers crossed for warmer weather soon!

WIWW - In Italy!

I have to confess that this is not what I wore today, and these pictures really do not highlight my outfits, but I just couldn't resist showing off a few of my Italy pictures! I was there for a week over Spring Break, and it was beautiful and amazing. So here are a couple of my favorites...

With my aunt, with St. Peter's Basillica in the background, at the Vatican.

The Pay it Forward Giveaway

So last month I somehow won a lot of giveaways. And while I loved all the great prizes, I thought it might be nice to split some of them... with one of you!

The winner of this giveaway will be receiving a ponytail holder from Aprikot Designs, some of my flower bobby pins from Fl(h)air, and a bracelet from My Bag in the Attic.

And since I've been into crafting up some poofy pins - from old t-shirt material, felt, whatever - I think I'll throw in one of those in too.  The winner can choose which color: yellow, blue, or pink.

All four prizes will go to one winner.  To enter, leave a comment telling us your favorite thing about Spring. For a second entry, follow our blog via Google Friend Connect, and let us know you're a follower in another comment.  Giveaway will end a week from Saturday (April 9), and the winner (chosen through random.org) will be announced the following Sunday.

Six Items Go To Italy!

It's Spring Break, and I'm off to visit my cousin who is studying art in Italy!

My packing strategy is usually to bring as much as I can possibly fit into my suitcase. I end up bringing a super heavy suitcase full of lots of extra clothes. Ooh, sounds a lot like my closet.

Since I've been trying to do more with less clothing (see the Six Items and/or Clean Out The Closet Challenges), plus I have a bag of my cousin's stuff to bring, I decided to try to take my six items on the road (or in the air, as the case may be).

Turned out to be more difficult than I thought. I really wanted to just put my six items in, close up the suitcase, and be on my way. But, since it's an entirely different country and I'm not really sure about the weather (hopefully 60's and sunny, but probably rainy!), I had a really hard time not adding more items!

So here's what I ended up packing...

And here's how it all fit in the suitcase with my shoes, my cousin's clothes, coats, etc...

Hopefully I won't be wishing I had just stuffed the suitcase until it exploded!

Ciao for now...See you in a week!
