Week of St. Patty's Day & a Giveaway

Okay, I've got to be honest here - I'm actually not all that into St. Patrick's Day. Being Scottish, I'm supposed to wear ORANGE instead of green on March 17th. But since so many of you liked Al's necklace last week and since it's green,

I decided to make another one for one of you. A little St. Patty's gift if you will.

{I forgot to add the knots on either side but can easily add them if the winner wants them!}

So here's the deal. This giveaway will be open until Saturday, March 19 (the end of St. Patrick's Day week). To enter, leave a comment letting us know your favorite thing that's green! Today is a little blustery.  I'm wishing that I was still in Florida wearing those sunglasses!

Sunglasses are one of my favorite accessories, which is why I've developed a collection of sorts. I used to keep a cup full of them in my car and whenever I drove youth group girls anywhere I'd make them all wear a pair. The collection has dwindled since then, but I still love a good pair of funky sunglasses.  The ones in the picture are a recent find at a flea market in Florida.

Happy (Almost) Spring!

Just a few things to remind you that Spring is on it's way...

The daffodils have arrived at Trader Joe's!

This was me, driving home from work today. I actually needed the sunglasses!

And this is what I was drinking!

 It's half chocolate, half shamrock and it tastes like a thin mint cookie - delicious!

Winning Some Accessories

Ooh, I'm so excited, I had to share my newest accessories - just look at these cute little earrings I won in a blog giveaway (hosted by Handbags'n'Pigtails)!

 They came from Funky Vintage Kitchen, all wrapped up in a cute little box tied with red and white string.

Flower Necklaces

Lately I've had my eye on some super cute flower necklaces. There are lots to choose from, but these are a few of my favorites...

Super cute, right? The problem is, they are a bit pricey. But so cute and fun. I thought I might have to wait until I magically became creative and crafty so I could make one myself.

But, Aimee's been doing a little bit of crafting lately - making cute flowers and headbands out of old t-shirts and material she has at home. Check out the adorable headband she made here.

So I was super excited when she gave me this necklace...

                                                          

Wow! It looks just like the ones I've been wanting. I wore it to work the other day, and it definitely spiced up my otherwise plain outfit...

Next step = Aimee teaching me how to make flowers so I can create more of my own lovely necklaces!
